CJD Aware! has pushed forward their 'unique and different' event until 2011. Our staff and volunteers are currently hard at work towards making this event truly one-of-a-kind. It has never been done before for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) and will definitely put a spotlight on the disease. We will keep our viewers posted on our progress.
National Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Awareness Week is November 7-13, 2010, International CJD Awareness Day is November 12, 2010, please mark your calendars and join us on this important dates.
CJD Aware! continues to monitor state health departments nationwide as some states are revising regulations/guidelines to add Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease/Prion Disease to their notifiable lists. The United States of America is (8) states away from having this disease notifiable in all 50 states. We will keep you posted on our progress.
