Spotlights:

November 7-13is 'National CJD Awareness Week';  however, CJD Aware! has temporarily postponed requesting proclamations this year so that our staff and volunteers can begin working towards a 'unique and different' project tentatively scheduled for November 12th, 'International CJD Day'.  We will keep our viewers posted on our progress.

CJD Aware!
will have a new look shortly, so stayed tuned.

CJD Aware! has become a Rare Disease Partner for NORD's 2010 Rare Disease Day (February 28th).  We invite our viewers to see our 'February 28th' page as we put another 'spotlight' on Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD).

CJD Aware! continues to monitor state health departments nationwide as some states are revising regulations/guidelines to add Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease/Prion Disease to their notifiable lists.  The United  States of America is (8) states away from having this disease notifiable in all 50 states.  We will keep you posted on our progress.
